Jamaica affirms that it will prosecute those responsible for the alleged Usain Bolt Fraud.

The Jamaican Finance Minister, Nigel Clarke, affirmed this Wednesday that all those involved in the alleged multimillion-dollar fraud against the former Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt will be sentenced after investing in the Jamaican company Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL).

Clarke said in a statement that he remains confident in the ability of local authorities "to unravel all aspects of this matter and bring all those responsible for the fraud to justice."

"I am shocked and feel a deep level of anger and disgust at the alarming and wicked fraud that has allegedly been committed," said the head of Finance.

Last week, SSL revealed that several of its clients, including Bolt, had allegedly lost millions of dollars in local and foreign currencies that they had invested in the SSL Company.

Usain Bolt is one of the 30 people who fell for the scam and whose SSL investments were allegedly deducted by a rich adviser.

The fraud could have reached 1,200 million dollars.

Usain Bolt indicated on his social networks that he is also afraid that he will never be able to recover that supposedly stolen money and that, apparently, he only has $2,000 left of the million-dollar amount that he began to deposit in 2012 and from which, according to what he assured, he never made withdrawals.

Meanwhile, the representative of Usain Bolt winner of eleven worlds and eight Olympic titles, Nugent Walker, confirmed that an investigation was aimed at recovering the millions of dollars.

Usain Bolt Fraud: Local Jamaican media reported on Wednesday that "high-level lawyers representing sports legend Usain Bolt want SSL to return the track and field star's $12 million in investment, in record time, or face a huge demand."

Usain Bolt Fraud - According to the Jamaican newspaper Gleaner, the law firm Frater, Ennis & Gordon has given SSL 10 days to deliver the money that Bolt invested 10 years ago.

To what extent is Switzerland neutral?

Being neutral is not easy. Swiss politics struggles to interpret its neutrality in the face of an increasingly one-sided world policy.

"Jamaica is the main financial hub of the English-speaking Caribbean’s and we shall do everything in our grasp to protect Jamaica's position in this regard," Clarke added.

The Jamaica Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) says it is deeply concerned about the situation, noting that it has implications for reputational risks and the erosion of trust.

"As organisations, we are conscious that fraud is a serious threat in both the localised and international financial groups," the JSDA stated in a statement.

In this context, JSDA stated that its members will work collectively and independently to ensure that all clients are fully informed of the measures available to them for personal checks and balances.
