AI Fraud: ChatGPT failed in math - what artificial intelligence is used for
AI
fraud - Refers to the use of artificial intelligence tech for fraudulent
purposes, like identity theft, phishing scams, & other financial frauds.
ChatBots like ChatGPT are being utilized to create text for phishing & is
becoming a notable AI Fraud.
ChatGPT
generates texts and learns progressively, but it is not free from problems, fraud,
fears, and worries
ChatGPT
is increasingly on everyone's lips and is certainly the artificial intelligence
of the moment or of the future, or from the past, according to some.
ChatGPT
is a 'bot' based on a model called Gpt-3, capable of generating texts by
exploiting a huge linguistic database and fishing a gargantuan amount of
material from the web: texts, newspaper articles, books, and songs. In short,
constantly learning ChatGPT is already more updated than when it came out
(November last year) and is increasingly on everyone's lips because it is
literally within everyone's reach.
What
is ChatGPT
But
what is it about, in a nutshell? The acronym ' Chat Generative Pre-trained
Transformer ' can be translated into « pre-trained transformer generator of
dialogue programs, even if explaining in simple words - as you can guess - is
not a walk. It is a chatbot - therefore a software used to conduct an online
chat conversation - able to offer a level of conversation similar to that of a
human, with surprising naturalness and almost unlimited knowledge (with some
gross exceptions) and can provide complex and detailed answers, memorize
previous interactions within the conversation and, consequently, can
continuously learn. ChatGPT is also able to solve school tasks and university
tests - despite being denied algebra - and several international universities
have already targeted him for preventing his use during exams.
What
are the practical applications of ChatGPT?
Proofreading, customer assistance or use in digital delivery platforms and more, content creation, immediate translation, summaries, a reworking of extremely articulated concepts in simple languages: in addition to the previously mentioned functions, ChatGPT offers a wide and constantly changing range of uses expansion.
The
limits of ChatGPT
ChatGPT
failed in math: ChatGPT has some limitations such as mathematical calculations:
it is a bot developed to allow excellent conversations and not the solution of
operations or complex calculations that require reasoning of a certain type of
abstraction or interpretation. It also does not provide any information about
VIPs and celebrities, as well as presenting an almost non-existent knowledge of
everything that has happened after 2021. In short, nobody is perfect.
ChatGPT,
dangers, and controversies
ChatGPT
and AI Fraud: While not presenting a danger in itself, ChatGPT is not immune to
risks. First of all, it was found that it has been targeted by online scammers,
who can use it to produce practically perfect texts for fraud and phishing
activities. And also the production of fake news, fakes posts, and tweets, the
so-called 'trolling' on social media, and - last but not least - the
possibility of being able to extort money from someone through fake agreements
or payments. AI Fraud - There's more: the official stores of smartphones are
already teeming with apps that try to emulate artificial intelligence, reliable
programs that present, however, an often fraudulent copy of the system.
ChatGPT,
final considerations
Finally,
ChatGPT remains a prototype. Developed by OpenAI, the non-profit research
organization that promotes research on 'friendly Ai' (or friendly Ai), i.e.
that artificial intelligence that pursues the good of humanity as their goal,
it also boasted among the founders Elon Musk (later slipped off) and took
advantage of Microsoft's Azure cloud for his improvement. It is, in essence,
the future. A constantly updated AI system for which, in 2023, changes have
already been announced to improve its functionality to prevent AI fraud, but it can also be
described as a sort of 'Black Mirror' - the famous hit TV series - already
arrived in our house. Where a robot can interact with us and teach us, or maybe
one day take our job, and more.
